Climate Actions Committee Volunteer (Sep 2021 – Present)

Worked closely with faculty members, students, and staff in the Department of Geography through collaboratively planning and overseeing the implementation of UBC Geography’s Climate Action Plan and exploring potential actions to be undertaken including curriculum design, promoting climate research, advocacy for public transportation around UBC, making international travel changes for faculty members, improving the energy efficiency of the Geography building and facilities within (e.g. heating and light)
Currently co-facilitating the implementation of proposed climate workshops for GEOS 102 with other students and faculty members in the Department of Geography
Currently co-facilitating the preparation of planning proposal for the solar panel project on the roof of Geography Building with other students and staff members in the Department of Geography
Currently co-facilitating the proposed improvements of light and heating system in the Geography Building with staff members through installing programmable thermostats and automatic lights
